Jon Fearne

From the age of 8, Fearne has competed Nationally in athletics (high jump and 4x100m relay). He continued this until he was 18, and after studying A level sports studies, Human Biology and Biology, he went into outdoor education and got a BTEC National Diploma in Outdoor Leisure. During this time, he worked as a surf, mountain bike and Kayaking instructor. He then started kickboxing, Kung Fu and Boxing. He trained and coached kickboxing for over 10 years, placing 4th in the UK for Kickboxing and winning many regional trophies.

Having stopped Martial arts, Fearne got into endurance sports, and successfully set up Salisbury Tri Club ( - the club now has over 100 members. He has raced Ironman in South Africa and the UK as a sponsored athlete; he also qualified for Florida Ironman 70.3 Championships in 2009. A BTF Level 2 and UKA Level 1 coach, Fearne’s commitment to the sport is unquestionable. “It is simple – I love it!” he comments. “But the beauty of my job is that it is also my passion. I get satisfaction from watching my clients performing to the best of their ability, whether it is their first 5km run, or their first Ironman.”
